The Korean manufacturer LG Chem presents the new battery RESU13 which offers a total energy of 13.1 kilowatt-hours.
The new product is certified and compatible with SMA Sunny Island 6.0H, says LG Chem.

A total of five different RESU3models with a wide range of lithium-ion batteries are available to meet customers varying needs with respect to voltage and capacity. A significant addition to its product range is the LG Chem RESU13, a compact battery that is different from its smaller siblings in that it supports an emergency power mode. In the event of power outage, the ESS can automatically discharges and work as backup power. In providing such energy, the battery generates peak power of kilowatt (value of three seconds).

The RESU13 offers a total energy of 13.1 kilowatt-hours and stores self-produced electricity from the photovoltaic system. The new product is certified and compatible with SMA Sunny Island 6.0H, says LG Chem. The manufacturer uses CAN communication for communication between the components.

The battery is protected against environmental influences according to IP55. This means complete protection against contact, protection against dust deposits inside and - where it is usually installed – protected against water jets from all directions if a water pipe break is to be expected. (nhp)
