Steca solar electronics expends the off-grid solar systems

Whether for water pumps in developing countries or for electric lights in mountain huts, Steca ensures even more power. The Allgäu-based company is reacting to the constantly increasing energy demand in off-grid systems with the improved Solsum and Solarix controllers.

The basic solar charge controllers Steca Solsum 2525 and 4040 are part of the next generation of the internationally very popular PRS controller family. With the increased module and load current, the controllers are now also suitable for larger systems. Smartphones and tablets can now be charged directly on the controller via an integrated USB charge socket. Five LEDs in different colours give information about the battery status at a glance. For larger projects, the charge controllers can also be equipped with special functions, for example a night light function or charging completion and deep discharge protective voltages.

The classic controllers Solarix 2525 and 4040 from Steca offer even more functionality. The large display informs the user of all operating statuses with the aid of symbols. The charge status can be quickly and very conveniently read from the graphically designed interface. The controllers are freely programmable and even the battery type can be set by the user.
