In 2019, the Chinese manufacturer GoodWe is launching their new string inverters of the XS series for small power outputs in the home. The manufacturer highlights the particularly silent operation as well as the relatively high European efficiency of 97.5 per cent.
The XS series covers an output range of 0.7 to 2.0 kilowatts and weighs only 5.2 kilograms. The case has roughly the same dimensions as a sheet of A4 paper. The low weight and compact size of the XS make storage, transport and installation much easier. According to the manufacturer, oversizing of up to 30 percent of the DC input voltage is possible. Both a WLAN and a LAN connection are available as communication options for the small inverter. (mfo)
