GoodWe DSS Series delivers efficiency and aesthetic design

The new GoodWe DSS Series is the first single-phase on-grid inverter in the market compatible with bifacial double-glass modules, allowing 12.5 amps of input current per string. It also allows 35% DC oversising to fully maximise capacity as well as 10% AC overloading. The new GoodWe DSS Series inverter are lighter for easier installation both indoors and outdoors. Thanks to its reliable performance, the inverter can reach a top efficiency of up to 98.6%.

Compatible with Tigo, the DSS Series is equipped with rapid shutdown with MLPE functionalities, a streamlined solution for the optimisation of energy yields at the module level which is perfectly suited to complex system designs and partial shading – using optimisers on shaded modules recovers an average of 36 per cent of the energy lost as a result of mismatch. Furthermore, thanks to the integration of Tigo's Cloud Connect Advanced (CCA) data logger, operators can reduce hardware costs by not having to purchase an additional data logger. Fewer components reduce potential points of failure and risk, while simplifying service when it is required.

Simple and cost-effective retrofitting

Besides, the DSS Series is perfectly compatible with the GoodWe Energy Storage System with either on-grid Retrofitting Storage Solutions utilising AC/DC Coupling Approach with the SBP or BP series respectively. This allows retrofitting an on-grid system with a storage system simply and cost-effectively whenever battery storage is required, either now or in the future.

The Series was awarded the prestigious Red Dot Design Award for its aesthetics and user-friendly design that includes a colour touch screen LCD display. Features include a colour LCD screen that automatically adapts to a brightly lit environment, with images being perfectly sharp and most importantly that the screen has a long service life and only produces little heat.

Apart from its aesthetics, user-friendly design and strong performance, the smart DSS Series has a connector temperature sensor and an arc fault circuit interrupters (AFCIs) built in, which provides high-level safety. AFCIs are designed to detect a wide range of electrical arcing faults and thus help reduce the risk of the electrical system becoming the source of a fire. (mfo)
