Expanded new range of power optimisers

SolarEdge is expanding its range of power optimisers: The new multi-input M1600 power optimiser for ground-mounted installations improves the economic scalability of MLPE in utility PV installations. It has two MPP trackers, connected to four panels in multiples of two rows, thus reducing installation time by halving the number of power optimisers required with the same level of optimisation. Supporting longer strings of up to 17 kilowatts, the M1600 also reduces cabling, resulting in lower overall BOS costs.

The new P950 for high power or bi-facial modules makes DC optimisation available for more installation types by supporting the connection of two high power modules of up to 950 watts or two bi-facial modules. In addition, it enables greater design flexibility thanks to the higher power per string of up to 17.95 kilowatts.

A cost-effective solution for serial arrays, the new P801 power optimiser for 72-cell modules enables the connection to two 72-cell modules rated at up to a combined 800 watts.

SolarEdge is further strengthening its residential power optimiser portfolio with a wider variety of module connectivity. Bringing DC optimisation to more PV installations, the larger residential portfolio features the new P401 power optimiser that connects to high-power 60/72-cell modules up to 400W and 11.75-amp short circuit current. In addition, the maximum short circuit of the P404, P405, and P485 power optimisers have been increased to 11 amps, supporting modules requiring higher input currents. (mfo)
