BayWa’s Solar-Planit: plan an entire PV installation for free
The planning tool from BayWa r.e. can be used to plan entire PV installations – from mounting system design and inverter layout to economic efficiency calculations and installation documentation. In the first step, the tool helps installers to enter the required project data and to plan the mounting system for the selected solar module, Baywa says.
Solar-Planit also automatically recommends the corresponding inverters and suitable battery storage systems. Based on this planning data, the upgraded program then creates yield forecasts and ascertains the economic efficiency of the installation. In the last step, Solar-Planit generates neat installation documentation, which can be used during meetings with end customers. This way, installers can plan an entire PV installation effectively and comprehensively in only a few minutes.
BayWa r.e. is also optimising its novotegra mounting system, the company says. A variation of the base rail with 20 mm thick pads facilitates unhindered roof drainage with rails mounted perpendicular to the roof pitch. This will make the mounting of flat roof systems even more flexible in the future. (nhp)
