iF gold award for SMA’s IoT platform for energy management

The basis for this is the IoT platform for energy management ennexOS, which makes holistic, intelligent energy management particularly user-friendly. For this, SMA has now been awarded the renowned iF gold award in the Service Design category.

The iF-award jury praised the service design of the IoT platform for energy management - developed together with the Kassel-based agency chilli mind – especially for the clear, fast user guidance in all areas. Among other things, the award-winning user interface scores points with its clearly laid out dashboards that show all data on energy producers and consumers in the household or company at all times. This makes it easy to identify and avoid power consumption peaks, for example. Users can thus optimize their energy system at any time and save energy costs. The clear user guidance of the user interface also makes it easy for users to transfer data seamlessly and quickly to all SMA apps and portals based on ennexOS.

Optimising energy systems

"The IoT platform for energy management ennexOS enables our customers to monitor, control and connect different energy sectors such as heating, air conditioning, electricity and mobility via app or in the SMA portals and thus save costs", says Andreas Strusch, Platform Product Manager for ennexOS at SMA. "With the applications based on ennexOS, users can manage their energy balance efficiently and furthermore benefit from new business models. SMA thus creates the possibilities for all users to use all advantages of the digital and connected energy world today and in the future".
