On 20th December 2016, the European Commission brought forward its recommendations on the trade case involving solar modules and cells imported to the European Union from China, Taiwan and Malaysia.
Member states need to approve
Their recommendations include extending the duties and measures, including the Minimum Import Price (MIP), for 2 years and opening two interim reviews to modify the MIP and the administrative procedures over the coming year. These are the recommendations that will likely be sent to the European Union Member States for approval in February this year.
