Boost for BIPV: Cut prices for façade modules

As reported by the EE-News web portal, a consortium of 19 companies and research institutions from seven European countries are working on providing better and more inexpensive solar façades. To that end, the project partners are looking closely at every aspect of the value chain. They are keen to realise cost cutting potential where ever possible. This is intended to allow architects to use solar technology to design near-zero energy buildings, as demanded by the EU since the beginning of this year.
