Hyundai Ioniq electric car: sound middle class in range and price

The range of the electric car is according to NEDC 250 kilometers, under daily conditions around 190 kilometers. Thats around the same range as his Korean electric competitor Kia Soul EV. The consumption of the Hyundai Ioniq Electro is comparatively favorable with 11.5 kWh per 100 kilometers. Its lithium-polymer battery produces 28 kWh and is thus only mediocre. The engine power is 88 kW, the top speed is 165 km / h.

6.3 kW charging in 4.5 hours

Over a 2.3 kW household socket, charging takes 12 hours. The charging time is 4.5 hours via a 6.6 kW - Type 2 (1-phase, 32 A) connection or cable. The Ioniq Electro is charged up to 80% in 25 minutes by means of a CCS charge with 50/100 kW.

200,000 kilometers guarantee for the battery

With a purchase price of 33,300 euros (minus buyer`s premium), the Korean is also in the middle. For that the equipment is rich and the luggage compartment with 443 liters large. Hyundai gives eight years or 200,000 kilometers’ warranty on the battery. (hcn)
