Tesvolt and WEMAG announce commercial storage system cooperation
“Cooperating with Tesvolt will allow us to offer our commercial customers very attractive energy storage solutions. Suitable for all storage applications

The smallest Tesvolt storage system has a capacity of 10 kWh, the largest 1 MWh. Different-sized Tesvolt systems can be combined to suit applications with a storage demand of up to 100 MWh. “Our systems have a high charging speed of 1 C, which is very important for many customers. If, for example, the air conditioning fails in a stable, the animals’ lives depend on the storage system supplying the required energy quickly,” says Huntemann.
Thanks to their intelligent battery management system, Tesvolt storage systems can be expanded even years later. “Other storage systems on the market don’t offer this option; expansions are generally only possible within the first year, after which the age difference between the old and new battery cells starts causing problems,” explains Huntemann.
Efficient storage systems with a long service life
Tesvolt storage systems have a service life of up to 30 years, which is the equivalent of around 8,000 complete charge cycles with a depth of discharge (DoD) of 100 percent. At 92 percent, Tesvolt storage systems achieve one of the highest whole-system efficiency ratings found on the market. The systems are produced at the company’s facility in Lutherstadt Wittenberg.

Tesvolt specializes in commercial battery storage systems. The innovative company from Lutherstadt Wittenberg produces storage systems with state-of-the-art prismatic lithium battery cells from Samsung SDI, based on nickel manganese cobalt oxide. Tesvolt storage systems function just as well at low voltage as at high voltage, and can be connected to all energy producers: sun, wind, water, biogas and combined heat and power — on-grid and off-grid. All storage systems are produced at Tesvolt’s manufacturing facility in Germany.
The Schwerin-based company WEMAG AG is a green energy provider working across Germany, with regional roots in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern and Brandenburg, where it is also a power grid operator. Together with WEMAG Netz GmbH, the company is responsible for around 15,000 km of power lines, ranging from house connections to overhead transmission lines. The utility company supplies both private and commercial customers with electricity, gas and grid services.
