Exemplary 103 MW PV park in Jordan

The $ 130 million solar park covers three square kilometres with JinkoSolar PV modules and 38 Inverter Power Stations from Ingeteam and supplies energy to more than 51,000 households. The system was connected to the grid on mid of July 2017 and has since supplied 2.5 percent of the total national energy production. That's the equivalent of 148,000 tonnes of CO2 that does not emit into the atmosphere.

Best-practice example for cooperation

The project is a great example of cooperation between various companies and the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources. While Ingeteam provided the inverters and JinkoSolar the PV modules, a consortium constituted  by the Spanish TSK company and by the UAE-based company Enviromena Power Systems, as EPC contractors, were responsible for the development and installation. The project is owned by the Jordanian Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (MEMR) and funded by the Abu Dhabi Fund for Development (ADFD).

Completing projects within the given timeline and budget

Stefano Domenicali, CEO & Vice President, Ingeteam Italy said, "Projects like this demonstrates Ingeteam's great strength in completing projects within the given timeline and budget, under challenging conditions, making it a success for everyone involved."

With the project in Jordan, Ingeteam has demonstrated that it is always possible to implement great energy projects all over the world that make a difference. We are pleased to identify such outstanding projects and, by highlighting them, we draw attention to the energy transition," says Leo Ganz from the German CleanTech Institute.

The German Clean Tech Institute (DCTI) honours the largest, most innovative and outstanding PV projects with the Global Leading RES Award. Ingeteam, a global inverter developer and manufacturer qualified with its project for the largest project category. (HCN)
