SolarPower Europe passes the 150 member milestone – new members in the field of energy storage and financing

Oliver Schaefer, President of SolarPower Europe, stated "The vision of the current Board to make SolarPower Europe a relevant, dynamic and influential organisation is now coming to fruition. This latest achievement is another in a list of successes over the past two years. I am delighted with the success the organisation is experiencing due to its increasingly professional and business relevant work."

New members in the field of storage and financial institutions

James Watson, CEO of SolarPower Europe added "Reaching 150 members is a real testament to the success of our rebrand and the new services we provide. Our growing membership supports us to achieve our vision, which is to make solar Europe's core energy. We have seen growth of membership in traditional areas such as manufacturing, but also in new areas such as storage and financial institutions".

Reflection of the diversification of the solar sector

"Our members reflect the diversification and maturing of the solar sector. Today we have over 30 active members in our new Storage task force and have doubled the number of utility members. Major mainstream energy players and global corporations who purchase power have also joined our association" said Bruce Douglas, COO of SolarPower Europe, adding "We are proud to represent the leading companies active in the solar space and delighted that our new business-oriented services, proactive policy approach and world class communications are providing significant value to our members."
