Chief technologist changes from Viessmann to Solarwatt

From January 2017, Walter Bornscheuer will direct product development at Solarwatt and accompany the market entry into new markets. Bornscheuer has more than 30 years of experience in heating, domestic and energy engineering.

Ten years at Viessmann

The 57-year-old has spent ten years at Viessmann and has been responsible for the company's technological focus since 2009. Prior to this, Bornscheuer worked for more than 20 years with various companies in the field of heating and energy technology, mainly in research and development. Solarwatt CEO Detlef Neuhaus is delighted about the new acquisition: "Mr. Bornscheuer impressively demonstrated that he can create highly efficient structures for product development."

Top storage technology experts

Over the last few years, the Dresden-based solar company has successfully expanded its product portfolio with the addition of electricity storage My Reserve. In 2016, the company strengthened its research and development division. Several top experts from storage technology as Tom Timke or Andreas Gutsch already switched to Solarwatt within the last months. Currently the Dresden based company counts around 300 employees.
