Solar self-consumption: Black Forest based company wants to be more energy independent – 366 kW PV installation of Wirsol

The first installation with 1,082 solar modules was recently connected  to the grid after only three weeks of construction work. The second with 310 modules is just under construction. Already now the system produces 438,367 kilowatt hours of solar electrictiy. General manager Peter Adler focuses on 100 percent self-consumption without feed-in-tariffs. „This is the first PV installation that we have planned and constructed for 100 percent own consumption”, sales director Johannes Groß of Wirsol says.

Competitive advantage

“Our goal is to produce our own electricity mainly through renewable energy”, Adler says. With regards to the high heat and electricity consumption of a sausage and bacon production this is not an easy task he admits. Although he sees a competitive advantage using more solar and other renewable energies for his company. He announced further to cooperation with Wirsol to reach those goals. (HCN)
