Photon Energy has announced details on a further large-scale solar power plant under development in Australia. The 253 MWp (220 MW AC) project in Suntop, New South Wales, is part of the previously announced 1 GWp development pipeline, for which Photon Energy has mandated advisory firm Pottinger to advise on the raising of development capital. The project is being codeveloped with a local joint venture partner.

The projects are part of the previously announced 1 GWp development pipeline, for which Photon Energy has mandated advisory firm Pottinger to advise on the raising of development capital. In total, Photon Energy is looking to bring aboard investors for seven large-scale projects, six of which are being co-developed with a local joint venture partner. The largest of the projects is the planned 316 MWp power plant in Gunning.

Photon Energy has secured land options for all projects and is progressing with several development approval and grid connection processes. At the same time, Photon Energy is entering into a community engagement dialogue with local residents to ensure all possible questions are answered and concerns heard.

“Our Australian PV project pipeline is on track of becoming the most valuable asset in our Group” explained Georg Hotar, Chief Executive Officer of Photon Energy NV. Photon Energy’s plan is to bring in financial and strategic investors to accelerate development of these important solar energy projects and bring the projects to the ready-to-build stage.
